Scared
hello everyone
I’ve spent a good part of the day reading through everyone’s stories. I feel I have learned more about IBC than I would ever have wanted to.
Would you all be so generous to let me run by you what’s going on with me. Then you can tell me I’m being silly and overreacting and I can feel silly for worrying.
3 days ago my left breast and underarm was super itchy. I kept a fork with me to ensure I could really scratch. Lol. Therewere no bites or irritation from what i could see. That night while sleeping my underarm became sore. When i got up in the am I looked in the mirror and all there was was a small area on my armpit that was very tender to touch. I also noticed small cluster of of little bumps on the top portion of my breast. Still itchy all over but not as crazy as previous day. Now it feels like my skin hurts. I’m itchy but it hurts to scratch.
I don’t have any breast changes other than that- no redness, drainage, dimpling.
Does this sound at all like anyone else’s symptoms?
Thanks for taking the time to read this...

So, it's me again. I just went for a regular mammogram and the tech said the radiologist said it was negative. I feel slightly better, but I know that might not mean a whole lot. I have an apt with my PCP in a little bit and I feel like I need to state my case as to why I think it may be IBC. I'm beginning to think I am the biggest hypochondriac. UGH. But- I know something is wrong, just hoping it's not that. If my PCP is not sure what it is...what do I do next?
THanks, and positive thoughts for the rest of you!

Hi there,
Just wondering if you have had any luck with finding out what you have ? Always advocate for yourself and your health and push for answers. If something isn't normal, doctors need to figure out what is going on so you can treat it! If it is IBC or some other benign skin condition, it still needs to be treated. IBC presents different in every individual and doesn' always follow the normal pattern, No one can tell you if you have this or not just by looking at it, not even a doctor. Demand a punch biopsy, that will tell you what you have, no matter what it is. I am going through the same kind of situation, but I have pushed very hard for answers and am getting a biopsy today, whatever I have, I need to know so it can be treated. IBC wont always show up on a mamo or ultrasound. Hope everything will turn out to be good news for us both.
