Hi All,

So, I just want to say Thank You! Thank you for sharing your personal stories that I began reading (as much as possible) at 3 am many lonely nights after my diagnosis. It helped prepare me for the many tests I've had over the last 60 days and allowed me to think of questions I should be asking of my surgeon and MO that I would have never thought of on my own.

It has also so very helpful to know that many of you experienced the frustration of a process that appears to move so painfully slow especially when it is Christmas, end of the year and everyone is overbooked and heading out for their vacations. Anxiety, Anxiety, Anxiety. Waiting and it feels like forever! It has certainly helped to read that I was not alone here.

Biopsy 1 11.27.17 Diagnosis 12.1.2017

The path I'm heading down will be neoadjuvant hormone therapy with an Aromatase inhibitor: Arimidex for an unspecified amount of time and then some type of surgery in the future.

If anyone else has been down this route with Arimidex and then surgery, I would love to know what questions I should be asking before I take the plunge.

Again, thank you, it's nice to know I am not alone.

Hold yourself gently and breathe.

Peace,

Kim

    Kim - Welcome and sorry at the same time that you have to be here with us....Kim as you are coming to find out the journey is a process and absolutely the emotions that come with it test us all, to say the least. I completely agree that these boards offer an understanding and support that is difficult to find outside of another cancer survivor/thriver/justryingtofigureitallouter....I am 6-7mos out from diagnosis and it does get better but I am still trying to find my new normal....many good healing thoughts on your treatment and keep us all posted! I know there is a thread for stage 2 - and I know there are threads for AIs....I am guessing you have seen those? I know there is so much support and good advice on those threads... peace Kim.

    Welcome, Kim, although I am sorry you are here. (But glad you found us!)

    I can't comment on the treatment plan because mine was different, but I can say that, as Peace did, that it gets easier. Somehow it just does. A new normal. I'm a year out and feeling good. I bet you will be, too. (But I had to pretty much give BC the whole damn year.)

    Ask any and all questions that you can come up with. Someone will be there to answer. You are not alone.

    {hugs}

    Thanks Peace,

    I'm still learning how to navigate the site, so no, I'm not sure I've seen all those stage II or AI threads. How would I find them? Via search in the ILC section or search of the entire site? I've printed out the abbreviations in December just to understand what half the posts meant! Still learning.

    Thank you!

    Kim
