Hi everyone, in July 2017 I found a lump in my right breast that was associated with discharge and change in shape and size of the same breast. I immediately made an appointment with my GYN and when they felt it also they scheduled me for a mammogram and ultrasound. They were both negative but I was referred to a comprehensive breast Center anyway because by imaging was BIRADS 2 heterogeneously dense. After a repeat ultrasound and digital mammogram they said it was still essentially negative but suggested an MRI if I had any further problems. Five days ago I found two more lumps in the same breast and now I have black nipple discharge. With all of these factors it's very hard for me to think that it could be nothing . on February 5 I have my annual GYN exam do I wait until then to discuss it with my doctor, or do I call just for this and get another appointment or should I just call the breast Center that did all the work up last time? I wish I could stop worrying about this, but I don't have a very good feeling

    hi Tgrn,

Welcome to the board, although I’m sorry you are having these issues. I am also having bloody nipple discharge, pain and my mammogram and ultrasound only showed inflammation in my milk ducts and fluid. But they wanted to do an MRI, my insurance denied it at first and then the surgeon fought with the insurance company to get the MRI. The MRI showed a lesion that wasn’t shown inn mammogram or ultrasound. They believe it is a papilloma. I will be having suegery to remove the lesion and a breast duct excision next week. I would suggest the mri just to be sure and for your peace of mind. Try not to worry too much, although I know that is easier said than done

Keep us posted, I will be praying for you!
