Hi ladies, I'm in the Dawsonville area. I haven't found anyone in my area or anyone in the Atlanta vicinity. Glad to touch base with you all. Gigilala, I am also Her2+ and now only on Herception infusions for another 6 months or so. Did you have chemo at all? How are your side effects on Herception? Hi Hogwarts, great to hear you are in the North Cobb area. I didn't see any diagnosis or therapy's for you. How are you?

Hi 2brandi, Thanks for asking... when I started posting I just didn't want to be known by all that 'stuff.' I'm doing great, nearly 3 years out. Had a BMX, early stages and have elected to go super clean with diet and everything in my home. Organic, free-range, wild-caught, grass-fed, low to no toxins in cleaning and personal care stuff that sort of thing. Markers have been low normal all the way. And, I feel great.
I'm 71 and no longer care to drive in Atlanta traffic, which I expect you can understand, especially with the construction going on on I 75 outside the Perimeter. Ugh!
Hugs to you both and hope you are doing great!

I'm on the southside of Atlanta. I haven't been diagnosed but I have to go for a biopsy on Wednesday and according to what my dr and a specialist says it looks highly likely. I am so nervous but trying not to freak out!

Hi Ladies, haven't been on here lately...Lots of doctor appointments and trying to deal with the SE of Herception. Hogwarts so glad you are healthy 3 years out and have elected to change your lifestyle habits. JoyMrt5, saying prayers for a clean bill of health. Please let us know your results.

Hi Joy,
I know exactly what you are going thru so please keep us updated! We are here for you. Someone on one of these lists appropriately names our later reactions during/after treatment and/or surgery PTSD. It was very frightening and, for me, it felt like I was at the edge of a cliff. Get support, counseling and whatever you need so you don't have to go thru this alone. There is also tons of support on the other threads so you might want to check them out.
Brandy, thanks for your thoughts!
Hugs 'n prayers to all!

Hi JoyMrt5 -- I am also on the south side! I have not been diagnosed -- my biopsy will be Monday. I am staying hopeful that it is benign.
Wondering if anyone else here has Kaiser, and what their experience has been? I've searched the boards more broadly for references to Kaiser -- but most of the mentions have been related to Northern CA (which is where I am from, originally), where Kaiser runs their own hospitals. Was hoping to find some people on Kaiser in GA.

Good morning Ladies!
I am from the ATL--> Marietta to be exact, but I live in Cali now. I go back "home" frequently because my family is there...but been out here for a lllllooooonnnngggg time...I know other ladies in the ATL that have gone through breast cancer and one that is currently under treatment but she has kind of gone rogue on her treatment plan...and decided all the treatment is unnecessary. Have you ladies called the area breast centers and asked about support groups? Or googled breast centers and searched their websites for support groups? I attend them out here, and they are usually for anyone with a history of breast cancer regardless if you have been treated or seen at the breast center. My support groups are not where was I treated or where my docs are located....just a thought... it is tough, and I absolutely feel I had some symptoms of PTSD after treatment, and I am still very sensitive to sound...I mean, I just shut down...someone could be talking - especially complaining or a lot of conversation around me, and I need to get out of there...so I do....I literally just stop the convo and/or I just leave. I get through work...I am in patient care and see patients, and I do not have the same reactions at work, but personally and after work--- I am literally saturated with all I can do and I can't hear or listen to a lot of sound...sending support from the west to the south
