TRIPLE NEGATIVE STAGE 1 - IV IN 6 MONTHS- Angel

My mom became an Angel last month. She had triple negative and it just ate her up so fast. Within six month it had progressed from stage 1 to stage IV with Mets to the brain. I also have breast cancer but it is ER/ PR + which is so much slower. There are so many things I wish I could have done for her. First is I wish I rushed her to do surgery immediately instead of letting her wait for the doctor who scheduled her 1 month later.

Then, I wish when she received the diagnosis of Metatisis 6 months later I would have stopped her from getting alternative treatments and forced her to get immunotherapy trials. I felt so helpless as the cancer continued to eat her up. She stopped eating her last month. I knew that her body was beginning to die and she was rejecting food. She tried every alternative treatment from Mexico , Asian remedies to CBD. Nothing worked.

I don't know if things would have been any different had she gone completely conventional. I miss her so much.

Sunny - I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I do know two things though. You mom did what felt right for her, and that is all we can ask of anyone. Do not play the shoulda, coulda, woulda game, there is never a winner.

You need to grieve, but you also need to take care of you! Cancer, just loves it when we are stressed. It takes full advantage and starts going again. Please try to find some peace with this. We are here always for you, to cyber hold your hand, listen, support and encourage you. I don't know if you are spiritual, but know that she is in a much better place now! She is at peace, real peace! No more worries, no more treatments, no more pain, illness or suffering. She lives on in your heart.

You obviously love your mother very much! The last thing your mother would want is for you to be second guessing yourself! I tell my daughter not to have regrets. Her love and support is more than enough for me. I am sure your mom felt the same way.
