2 nodes questionable after node dissection waiting pathology

My 75 year old mom just had lumpectomy and Axillary node dissesction last week. Still waiting on pathology. Surgeon didn't see signs of residual disease in tumor area but removed 15 nodes and 2 were firm and slightly inflamed. She said they could just be scar tissue? Anyone experience inflamed nodes that turned out to be negative ? She had 1 positive node priory to treatment. They only tested 1 but 2 showed up on imagining. Rhanks
