Does your nipple ever get back to normal?

My nipple on my mastectomy side is very inverted.

I'm not really complaining..I just feel fortunate my surgeon was able to save my nipple and skin. But I am wondering if the nipple will ever "pop" out?

    Mine did get back to normal. I don't remember when (my mastectomy was in Sept 2016) but I remember noticing it one day. Same has been true post DIEP flap reconstruction. It doesn't respond to cold the way it did pre-surgery but ...

    Mine popped out again but they don't have any sensation and they always seem to be erect. So kind of back to normal?

    Mine never became inverted but they are always erect no matter what. I would think between surgery, reconstruction and the nerves regenerating it could take quite a while depending on the extent of it all.

    Yeah..I'm wondering if I'll get sensation back. At least I have 1 breast that can still feel..I'm just grateful to have gotten the cancer out.
