Determined to find answers.

I am writing you in hopes of guidance or ideas or maybe even you have other genetics testing that I have not been able to acquire. After being adopted, at the age of 30 I found out my genetics history after finding out my local waitress of over 15 years was my biological Aunt. It's a crazy story but it saved my life. My biological mother had succumbed to breast cancer that as of now is chemo and radiation resistant and goes from breast to brain in a matter of months and we think is hormone driven from what we know so far. We have six documented generations of women killed by it that did not have preventative double mastectomies.I had a preventative double mastectomy 4 weeks after finding out and also have had a total hysterectomy. I am now 34. I am more less trying to guinea pig myself out for genetics testing because our daughter is now 9 and I will do whatever it takes for this genetic mutation to be identified so I'm reaching out to see if there are any tests I have yet to receive or if you know of anyone who may study these rare aggressive forms of breast cancer?I'm an open book at this point and appreciate you taking the time to read this.

Have you already had a full panel genetic test?

Wow! How lucky you are to have discovered this family history in time to take precautions and are determined to pursue answers! I hope you can find enough others who are affected by this very scary disease to enable meaningful research and discovery. This will be a great place to get the word out (and make connections) as well as other cancer websites.
