Anxious to get results, but have managed to remain calm for the most part. I'm 33, with no family history of BC. I have smaller (36A) what I would describe as "lumpy" feeling breasts when you start digging around in them. Anyways, my GP felt a cyst back in june 2017 and sent me for a U/S - at that time the radiologist didn't the he saw anything for concern and told me to come back in 6 months, just to be sure. So I went back in early Dec for follow-up U/S and this time he looked and said it seemed different, so he had me do a mammo right then. The mammo showed some suspicious calcs, which would need to be biopsied and we wouldn't know anything till that came back. (I then left on a 3.5 week vacation to Asia with my BF for the holidays- and we actually managed to do a good job of not thinking about this at all, so that was nice).

So I've just had 2 core biopsies done 2 days ago - both on the right breast (my left one hasn't even been mentioned at this point, which I think is a bit weird but maybe not). They procedure wasn't painless (the freezing hurt!) but it was actually kinda cool to me - I wanted to see and look at everything and wasn't the least bit freaked out.. they got the samples they needed and results would take a week, they told me. I asked the radiologist what made them suspicious calcs, and he mentioned that some of them may have been showing a linear formation - which I know isn't the best thing - but we don't know anything without the pathology. I don't know my BIRAD score.

Interestingly, my brother is a radiologist himself (in another city) and literally does this on a daily basis, so he's been good to talk to. He keeps reaffirming it's likely just precautionary, and most of them time they come back B9, so here's hoping!
