Started Aromasin (Exemestane) last week and now have bleeding

Hi! All,

I started Exemestane about a week ago- (I've taken tamoxifen & Femara in the last year and didn't do well with either). I've been in menopause since July 2016 (chemo induced).  I've always had a really hard time with medications or my sensitivity with them has always been difficult, as I feel it immediately- I know  some will say it takes weeks for your body to adjust, but even when trying birth control pills years ago was a real challenge.

Anyway, now I seem to be ok- the usual bloating, bone/joint pain (even with just taking for a week) I'm eating clean, drinking tons of water and working out so trying to power through those SE's. I am a bit concerned however because I have vaginal bleeding.  It started a bit last week when I started the meds, then this past weekend it was almost period like- I contacted my Onc and she said to speak with my Gyn... so I called and spoke with the doctor on call.  He didn't seem concerned, as I recently had an ultrasound and since I just started taking AI's,this year the likelihood of anything cancer related was not a concern. I was okay with that.. Then this morning I woke to bright red blood again, not period like.. I'm trying not to google search this, but I'm a bit concerned and feel like my bodies telling me this med is not for me. 

Has anyone else experienced this?

To be clear, I wasn't looking for a diagnosis, just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this. On my way to the doctor now.

Definitely call the doctor back. I don't know if you are on any other meds, but maybe there is some reaction between these meds and others you may be taking. Please call them back.
