In my 50's got period 7yrs out from end of chemo

Options

Am 54 and almost 9 yrs from dx. Official last period was age 45 during chemo on 1/1/10. Chemo end date was 4/27/10

Due to an unrelated genetic issue didn't do Tamoxifen -- did Zoladex & Arimidex instead. Quit after about 3yrs, couldn't take SE's. Periods never came back, figured that was it.

Then, crazy as it sounds, last year on 1/1/17, a full 7 yrs to the day of that LMP -- I got a period!

Blood work showed I was no longer in menopause. But then there were no more periods after that so I stupidly just dismissed it as a fluke...like a belated parting gift from my reproductive system, lol. [Oh estrogen, how I missed you.]

Now today almost EXACTLY 1 year after last year's surprise period – another period!

It's like instead of a 28 day cycle I now have a 365 day cycle!

Has anyone ever had anything like this happen...?

have you had a transvaginal ultrasound? I had uterine polyps that resembled periods. Bloodwork could sometimes be misleading. I had bloodwork once that said I was pregnant. It would have been an immaculate conception. Good luck
