Hello ladies of the forum,

I received the dreaded phone call from the radiologist yesterday that a suspicious mammo is indeed the big "C". I am 48 years old, had 5 previous clean mammograms but this most recent one found: "Indeterminate calcifications right breast upper outer quadrant" also:

CALCIFICATIONS: The calcifications in the upper outer quadrant posterior depth are again seen with diagnostic views. They are grouped and heterogeneous and suspicious.

ARCHITECTURAL DISTORTION: No suspicious architectural distortion.

SKIN AND NIPPLE: Unremarkable

OTHER FINDINGS: None.

I had the core biopsy done on Thursday, and received the call back yesterday. I have an MRI scheduled on Saturday. I don't know anything more about the sample, ie. what the histological make up is. After the MRI, I hope to understand more.

I'll be seeing you around! Thanks for being here with this forum.
