Re growth of hair

I just finished chemo. Will be having surgery then radiation. Already started tamoxifen.

I just want to know what to expect for hair, lash and brow re growth. How soon? How fast?

The little I do have is white. I usually have dark hair. Will it stay that way ?

No, it won't stay white, and my hair started to re-grow while I was still doing Taxol! I lost a few eyelashes and my brows thinned in a few places, and never regrew there. But I have my hair stylist dye my brows and it helps a lot.

I also used Latisse for regrowth of both lashes and brows and it seemed to help a lot. It's not too expensive. It seemed like it took a bit more time for lashes and brows to look completely okay, but we are all different.

My eyelashes and eyebrows came back in a couple weeks. My eyebrows were thin before & thinner afterwards, so I use an eyebrow pencil so they will show up. I finished chemo the first week of June that year, I didn't feel comfortable without a wig until mid-December. My hair came back very curly and very salt & pepper (I dyed it for many years before cancer so maybe that is what is would have looked like anyway). I had it professionally dyed before I went wigless (if you decided to have it dyed, have an experienced beautician do it, as it is 'virgin' hair). The curls (which were very cute) lasted about 6 months and then BOOM in one hair cut, they were gone.

yeah, my hair is returning but looking much more white on sides than before. I have done taxal, worked breifly but it did cause the bulk of the hairloss. Now there is very fine hair. I am doing a pill chemo now as taxal worked only for one scan
