I was diganosed with stage two breast cancer in July. I underwent two surgeries with lymph node removal. My first surgery where my LN were removed, was 8/11 and I still have chronic pain under my arm. one month after my last chemo, I still have bone and muscle pain that I can not seem to get anyone in my family to understand. They believe that I should just be back to normal.Fatigue that just will not go away. How long is this going to last?

    Hi Joanneat,

I am over a year out from surgery and still have pain in those areas--though it seems to be starting to ease as time goes on. To get to the lymph nodes they have to go around (or cut) nerves. My doctors told me it could take a long time. At your next follow-up definitely bring it up and see what they say. I don't know about the fatigue though. I had that for a long time but had it from radiation. I see you had chemo. When do you see your oncologist next?

Hello! I see him in February after I complete my radiation. So I am guessing I will have more fatigue . Thank you for replying as I will most certainly bring it up to him.
