Recently dx and just read my ER/PR and HER2 reports, all our negative. Had and MRI and CT scan this week already but I can't see the results from those. Meeting with the oncologist Friday and then the radiation oncologist the 26th.

I am sure treatment will depend on if it's spread or not but just wondering if there are even treatment options with being triple negative. I can't seem to find many options on it.

Trying to stay positive but they way this seems to going I am going to expect to find out it's spread to my lymph nods.

Lucyred - As a fellow TN, I can tell you that typically chemo is part of the triple negative treatment. Your appointment on Friday with your oncologist will shed some light on this for you. A lot of us TN's had chemo first before surgery. That enables them to make sure your tumor is responding well to the treatment. By the time I had my bilateral mastectomy (which was my choice), there were no remaining cancer cells found at all. That was a lot of piece of mind for me since I started with a larger tumor and some lymph nodes involved. Having said that, some do surgery first. I can only tell you my experience. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. I would also recommend find the thread on this site called "Calling all TNs". It's a pretty active thread with a lot of amazing, supportive women who all have (or had) triple negative. Wishing you the best!

    Hugs,

    Kathy
