Ulcerating Breast Tumor/Breast Bleed

I am writing from NY where I travelled from Chicago to have laser breast surgery to remove my right breast, only to be told that my breast wound is too large and there would not be enough skin to close the wound after surgery. The Dr. suggested that I go home and have radiation or chemo to shrink the tumor then come back to him for the procedure. I will never subject my body to any of those toxic treatments, so I'm in search of an alternative. Here is how it all started:
In February 2016 I was diagnosed with TNBC with a 1.5 centimeter mass. Got a second opinion in April 2016 and at the consultation was told that I would need a skin graft masectomy, 5 weeks, 5 days a week of radiation and 4 months of a triple cocktail of chemo that included Doxorubicin (called red death), Cytoxan and Taxol. I told the surgeon I needed to think about it and get back to him. After doing some research and learning about all the toxic side affects (especially the one about congestive heart failure! My heart is fine!), I decided this was not the route for me. Fast foward to October 2016, I happen to read my medical records from the second diagnosis and the results were DCIS with a .5 cenitimeter mass. However, the second opinion hospital never shared the different diagnosis so if I hadn't put on the breaks, I may have been over-treated and possibly not here to type my story!
I decided to attack this thing alternatively by changing my diet and lifestyle and using some natural supplements that included Essiac Tea (4 Herb) and several other supplements to boost my immune system to reduce this mass. I was doing well until I tried casema black salve to extract the lump (used in January and again in April of this year). What has resulted is the mass enlarging from a small walnut to maybe the size of a small orange. As a result of that, a 3x3 size open wound manifested on my breast! It became infected for a minute but treating it with Manuka Honey (grade 10. I used the higher grades before but didnt see any better or different results from the 10), and debriding the old infection has helped a bit but I still have the issue of the gapping hole. Now experiencing oozing of fluid from it and it bleeds profusely when I change the dressing and I'm beginning to notice a slight odor. It does hurt occasionally (not sure it's the wound or the mass causing the discomfort) but a few ibuprofens usually takes care of it.
I have a great distrust of conventional medicine and doctors (especially after conveniently not being told of a different diagnosis after getting a second opinion), so taking that conventional route is not an option for me!! Even though my current situation is not ideal, I believe I have a fighting chance doing natural things to help my body and increase my immunity then to be poisoned with toxic drugs and radiation or removal of my breast!
I had blood work done recently in preparaton for the surgery (that didn't happen) and the only bad thing was an out of range red blood cell count. This wound bleeds profusely most days and comes out and forms a gel like texture (similar to the consistency of cranberry sauce). I'm dizzy and weak for the first few hours after the ordeal and changing the wound dressing. Now I know that I'm anemic and need to address this issue (but i won't address it medically).
There has got to be a natural healing solution for this and I will continue to search and pray for direction until I find it! If there is anyone on this forum who can offer help or natural healing suggestions or know of a good naturopathic doctor in Chicago who could help me solve this problem I welcome it! However, I am not interested in any allopathic or conventional treatments so please don't share those suggestions or your criticism of my choice not to go that route!

I’m sorry that you used the black salve. I think you need to see a wound specialist. I doubt the hole in your breast will heal without some help. If your tumor was gone, I would advise a wound vac system.
Good luck

Hi DMorris. I am so sorry about your breast cancer, your anemia, your pain, and all the other troublesome things about your condition. I hope you will find satisfactory help and feel much better soon.
If you could stop all the bleeding right now, and correct the cause of your bleeding right now, it would take at least three to four months for you to recover from your anemia. Anemia can be deadly. Blood loss can be deadly.
Over the years I have taken in some critical small mammals who arrived with flea anemia. Some were dehydrated to "skin and bones" degree and too weak to drink -- they had to be hospitalized for fluid infusions as soon as they were cleared of fleas. Unless they were so young as to require incubation, when the anemic animals were cleared of fleas and rehydrated, they were kept on strict bedrest for two months in a cool (not chilly, but on the cooler side), quiet environment, with their potties, food, and water close by their bedding, so they and their hearts could take it easy and rest as much as they needed to rest. For their first few days of recovery, they would get a small daily dose (never on an empty stomach!) of Geritol Elixir; then they had smaller doses at decreasing frequency over the next couple of months. Understand, once they were cleared of fleas, there was no longer a bleeding rate working against their blood supply.

I agree with juniper. I would visit a wound specialist; it's important that your wound heal properly and then you can see what you can do. ((Hugs))

Thank you for your reply. I will look into a wound care specialist

Member chillipadi, may she rest in peace, used the black salve out of desperation when her breast cancer was very advanced. She left messages on BCO to urge others to avail themselves of conventional medical treatment while it might still help about their health and comfort.

I googled what would be a natural remedy for anemia and found a concoction of beet root, and carrot juice half a lemon and Brewers yeast twice a day would aid in helping my anemia. Also drinking lots of water to stay hydrated. Made an appointment for this coming Friday to see if I can get iron IV infusion. I absolutely don't trust getting a blood infusion! Inalso plan to try high dose IV vitamin C to help shrink the tumor. readtoday that Tumeric can stop a bleed. I will try that tonight to see if it works. I thank you all for responding and for your suggestions. Pray with me that I find a natural solution to my issue that may not only help me, but someone who may be suffering through the same experience!

I read Chilipad's journey. I was so sad to read that she lost her battle! She was definitely a fighter! However, she availed herself to conventional early in her journey, which I'm sure wrecked havoc on her immune system and rendered it helpless to fight to its fullest! I'm praying that by my not allowing the poison of conventional treatment and giving my body things that would boost my immune system to fight I will be Victorious!! I want Quality of Life as well as Quantity!
I just graduated from grad school this past Friday (MBA Accounting Forensics) and I'm sure my quality of life would have been much different had I succumb to the recommended treatments. Instead, I was able to complete my studies (without chemo brain) and later celebrate my accomplishment! I am walking in FAITH not FEAR! I've read about many who were successful on this journey and others who were not. I understand the risk but I trust God and I trust my instincts! My instinct (first mind) says NO to conventional!
By the way, the Tumeric (and black pepper which makes the tumeric more potent) stopped the bleeding)!

sorry you sre going through this. I have not researched this but was told turmeric should be stopped prior to any surgery because it causes bleeding.
I hope you can find a solution. I hope you can get in to see a wound specialist soon

Hi Dmorris,
My mum is in the same situation as you, her breast cancer has externalized and she was told by a surgeon that it is too large to remove and that she must do Chemo Radiation to shrink it first. My mum has been treating her cancer with Alteenative medicine for the past 11 years so she wants to stick to natural treatment however lately she had tried Fasting however after one week of fasting the tumour started bleeding a lot so she stopped... Anyway, I was wondering if you had found a solution... ? Thanks, Olivi

Hi Odevarreux,
I found two remedies that worked for me. A couple tablespoons of baking soda mixed with water and made into a soft paste can be spread on gauze and applied to the wound. This concoction stopped the bleeding and arrested the odor. It may sting a bit, but it won't last.
Another "paste" I discovered in my research is a mixture of agar powder and aloe vera juice. Boil some water and add the boiling water to a couple of tablespoons of the agar powder. Stir until powder is disolved and a slight thickness. Let cool then add a couple tablespoons of the aloe vera juice and mix together. The consistency as with the banking soda mix should be that of a soft paste. I also add a tablespoon of baking soda to this mixture. The agar in the mix helps to debride the old infectious material in the wound. Spread on gauze and apply to wound. Tape or wrap with rolled gauze. No bleeding and no odor. However, I am still experiencing great exudation. Currently trying these Acquacel Extra and Acquacel Ag dressing. They are supppse to be excellent for exudating wounds but not working to well on my constantly dripping wound. But what I have found that works is covering my wound with an ultra thin, extra strenght maxi pad! Viola, no more wet spots on my blouses!
Also, I am currently trying a new non-toxic therapy called Protocel. You should look into this for your mother. Praying with you and for your mother.
Hope this information helps!

I had a wound open up during chemo from my surgery. I went to the wound center. The problem is when a wound opens that wide it doesn't have a lattice to build skin to close. I assume that your wound won't scab like mine. So the wound center has a type of temporary skin they place on the area and they sprinkle something on it that accelerates skin growth. Then they told me to eat at least 100 grams of protein and drink two amino acids that are in a packet of something called juven. My MO was concerned about the juven because it can feed breast cancer. See that's the challenge feed the skin and avoid feeding the cancer.
I had to get a preauth for a vacuum pump so that took too long. What they did healed my wound in 4 to 5 weeks and while I have a nasty scar I was grateful.
For iron try to find a creative way to eat liver it is packed with iron and other muscled meat . But that takes time to build up red blood cells.
There are a few things that I do for fighting cancer
Broccoli sprouts. Cheap and easy ideally 2 cups a day. I sprout mine in a bottle and I also saw a site that suggested putting hot water on them to increase the sulphosane
Mushrooms
Curcumin and pepper
Green tea
Krill with axtasanthine
I also fast 15 hours a day so I only eat from 10 to 6pm I read an article about that ans cutting all sugar out.
I know you said you hate conventional medicine but it's not an all or nothing I would get a second opinion. See if there is something you are willing to do. The treatment is way worse when you imagine it. Once you start doing it you just power through and get on with your life. I personally would just shrink that thing any way you can chemo would be the best and chop it off. The relief I felt the day I knew it was out was worth going through it. I have two friends who went the unconventional route and died. I also have 2 friends that went conventional and died but I have a lot of friend from my support group that went conventional beat it and now are on with their lives
You are tougher than most women I have ever read on this board. You could fight this thing and get it out of your body before it spreads.
I wish you all the best

Hi D Morris,
Wow. I am so glad to see your postings !!! They are very uplifting as I am going through somewhat the same things you are...I am an herbalist - meaning I do very little traditional medicines.Today is not a good day as I am on the 7th day of the Baking Soda and Molasses Syrup protocol and energy is low.
I was doing research for open wound and somehow got here. I then lost the thread by trying to sign in .... but finally got back to you.
Tried the black salve and it did exactly as the testimonials said. I did two at once and I think my lumps are to big. One of them left an open wound. I had a terrible odor and finally went to the doctor to get antibiotics. Finished them three days ago. Was researching how to treat .... was heading to get an aloe vera leaf ...
Tried the tumeric without the pepper ... Hmmm, interesting ... saw where the aloe vera plant gel would do it by itself ... but will get the agar powder as well.
Thanks for Sharing,
-
Okay,
Back from the store ... got the actual aloe vera stem from the produce department. Couldn't find the agar - will go to Wal-mart tomorrow.
Loved the Acquacel products ... first time even hearing about them....
I have been spending so much on dressings... but luckily I live in a big city with lots of Dollar Trees, only 99 cent stores, King Dollar and an assortment of Mom and Pop $1 stores where I found Curad Gauze 10 pack, Curad Sensitive Skin Gauze 10 pack, Curad Bandages in various sizes and Curad tapes for only .99 to 1.25.
Will put the baking soda and aloe vera on tonight.... and check back with you later.
Thanks Again

That’s interesting. I used Juven nd neither of my medical oncologist nor my integrative medicine dr had any concerns about it. I have two friends with breast cancer and their Drs were fine with it too. We are all from 3 different locations as well. I’d love to see some documentation on it. Just because I’m curious.
