Skin biopsy

I wasn't sure where to put this. I had a suspicious spot biopsied a few days ago. It was on my previously radiated breast and I am pretty sure it didn't look that way before.

I'm nervous. She said results within 2 weeks. I guess I am just reaching out to anyone who might have gone through this before. I'm having significant anxiety about not only the possibility of a second cancer in a year's time but also about my healing biopsy wound. I obsess pretty badly about stuff like this and worry (excessively) about infection--like checking it a lot. A lot!! It was really bad after my lumpectomy...any bit of red I will assume I am about to die from infection. My husband thinks I am headed to the looney bin because he says it looks great and looks like healing skin should--a little red but otherwise normal.

<<Sigh>>

I am afraid another Christmas is about to be ruined...

    gb2115,

We are so sorry to hear of your new concerns and we are right there with you. We understand it's hard not to be concerned about new symptoms and subsequent testing, but just try to take a deep breath and stay busy until results come in. We're all sending our best thoughts for benign results!
