Change in Insurance (and PS) Before Exchange?

I'm several months out from UMX and have a TE. I'm post chemo now, trying to lose some pounds (sigh), and contemplating exchange next year, but my insurance is changing on Jan. 1st and my PS is not on any of the new plans available to me. Has anyone else been through this? I love my PS (she's female) and don't want to change, but also want exchange covered by my insurance. Thoughts or advice?

Also, I'd welcome any advice from those who have been through UMX reconstruction -- I'm pretty lopsided right now and would need a lift on my native side to have any hope of looking like the reconstructed side.

Thanks!

Mom-mom, I'm sorry you're having to worry with one more thing on top of what you've been through (and will be going through). I am running into this problem as well. I'm searching for BMX surgeons and breast reconstruction surgeons (tissue transfer), but I'm kind of at a stand-still, because I have to wait for my insurance to switch over on Jan 1. I have learned that there is some sort of continuance or transfer of care/gap -- or something like that. Sometimes, insurances will allow you a few months to finish up your care with your current doctor while being covered. But you'll definitly want to call your current insurance company to check on it.
