It's been a while since I've posted. I’m 42, married with 2 young kids and have a strong family history of Breast cancer on both sides of my family.I had an MRI back in October which found identical 1.1cm linear non-mass enhancement on both breasts. I'm awaiting surgery on 12/18 for my left breast after an MRI guided biopsy found Flat Epithelial Atypia. My right breast was benign and only found mild stromal fibrous changes. I can't seem to shake this feeling that they missed something there. How could the MRI show enhancement on both breasts but only found atypia on one?

Has this happened to anyone? Isn't enhancement usually something??

I have a non mass enhancement 1.7cm and I could never get a clear explanation what that means. The MRI showed persistent kinectics which I have read that is usually benign. Where washout or plateau is usually malignant.

I also have a malignant lump, so I am removing the whole breast anyways.
