what is normal swelling after BMX

I finally was able to take a shower and only have steri strips and was wondering what is considered normal swelling after BMX with sentinel node biopsy. The left side, that had the biopsy and the cancer, there are noticeable lumps and bulges compared to the right side . I went for my one week check up yesterday and the dr. said everythig looked fine but I seem to have a real lumpy spot close to my underam on the left side. what is expected and what are the warning signs. thanks

It may be lumpy and swollen for awhile. After more than 2.5 years, my tissue still isn't done settling into place. It takes awhile. I still have some tenderness where the node was removed on the IDC side.

If your doc is examining you and says it's okay, the best things you can do for yourself are to not poke at it, stay hydrated and eat protein to help the healing process, notice any changes, and don't increase reaching and lifting until you're cleared to do so.
