Stopping Lupron/ Femara

Hey folks! How soon after you quit Femara did you feel better? I had surgery last Thursday (UMX) and I have a lot less general pain than before. That sound crazy. But I took my last Femara the day before. I also am overdue for my Lupron injection but my doc said I could stay off the Femara/Lupron combo after my surgery. Depending on the pathology I am supposed to start chemo or rads on Dec 1st. I will not find out the pathology until Nov 30 because my sweet MO is in Tokyo for Thanksgiving! We got back a partial report saying we had clean margins so I should be rejoicing but of course, I just don't really feel that happy about any of it really. I want to know what poison I will be getting on Dec 1st but I am trying to just let that go.

My question for you all is how terrible is it to go in and out of menopause? It sounds good to get a break from the nutso chemicals but also bad to go back to a PERIOD (oh hell no!) and then eventually go back on Femara after all my other treatments are done. My doc hinted that Femara would be my drug of choice for the next 5-10 and that I would be back on it sooner rather than later. She revealed this when I asked if I could also quit Cymbalta which I take for pain. She said tapering off that was too hard and that I would need it soon enough again.
