I am considered high risk, therefore I had an MRI in April 2017. This MRI showed an "area of enhancement". An ultrasound was performed and showed nothing. I had another MRI on 11/8/17. This MRI showed the "area of enhancement " is now larger. I am scheduled for another ultrasound on 11/22/17. Has anyone else experiences this? I keep thinking that it has to be something because it is "larger". What if the ultrasound shows muting again? Should I get a second opunuon

    Hi sjcback,

I hope you're doing well. Do you have any updates? I had a mammogram done in July, then was called for a diagnostic mammogram, ultasound and MRI. I was told it was ok but to follow up with another mammogram and MRI in Dec...then in Dec my MRI said degree of enhancement is significantly increased from previous study and mentions scattered areas of moderate enhancement and recommended an ultrasound...No mention of masses or lesions. I had the ultrasound today and was told the ultrasound was ok and to come back in 6 months for another MRI. I'm so frustrated... I'm thinking of getting a second opinion from a specialist. I have had no real explanation as to what they are looking for or what they have found. What did you decide to do? I pray all goes good for you!
