Anyone else been taking Tamoxifen for 8 years or more?

Eight years ago, I had a tiny BC recurrence after two years of Arimidex so was switched to Tamoxifen. Other than some mildly annoying side effects, I have tolerated it well, so when I was told, after five years, that new research supports taking it for ten years, I readily agreed to that. But over the 8th year, just completed, I have experienced increasing fuzz brain -- short term memory loss (especially facial recognition of new people), difficulty driving in heavy traffic and finding someplace new at the same time and I often feel overwhelmed by all the life commitments: work, church, family, and volunteer work that I easily balanced before. It's like I'm not even the same person I was a year ago. When I reported this recently to both my PCP (of 18 years) and my MO, both immediately replied, "It's the Tamoxifen."

The research documenting that ten years of Tam is better than five is from 2014, so I'm thinking there may not be a lot of others out there who, like me, are starting a ninth year now. I would love to hear from you!

I'm only on tomoxafin for 3 years and I have so many symptoms that I'm tempted to stop at 5 years , I have terrible short term memory , I forgot my very good friends sister had cancer , I'm a scatterbrained, cannot multitask , always late where I was the most punctual person, redicolous hot flashes , confusion. Forget words when I'm speaking , quality of life has gone dow down , should I now be afraid of 8 years , my dr tells me my symptoms will get better
