Hi. I am 40 years old, no children and have very dense breasts. I had a painful lump develop in the outer side of my left breast back in May. I had an ultrasound, mammogram and biopsy done and all the doctors told me is that I have axillary adenopathy. I was put on antibiotics, but it did nothing. Since May, the breast has gotten more painful, especially from ovulation time up to my period, but is generally painful all month long. My left breast has always been a bit larger than the right, but since the 'cyst' has shown up, my breast has enlarged even more and is sagging a lot more as well. It also feels very heavy. I also suffer from hypothyroidism and had cat scratch disease about 3 years ago. Not sure if this could be the cause. Can anyone recommend what I should do next? The doctors didn't give me much info. The pain is unbearable, I can't work out, I cry a lot due to the pain.. I feel pressure in my chest when I breathe, I have pain in my left side arm, neck, back, chest. Anyone here experienced a similar problem? Any advice, or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you discussed this with your doctor, that you are not getting better, rather worse?  Adenopathy means swollen or disease of the lymph nodes/glands and If the antibiotics didn't knock it out, you probably want to find out what is causing it.  Here's hoping you get some answers.
