I am a quadriplegic since many years, recently diagnosed with right breast IDC. Went throught my first chemo (AC)session which lead me into a severe emergency condition.

I had shortness of breath, pain and distension in my upper abdomen, nausea, high bp, congestion in my chest and pain in my left side chest.Do anyone know about this condition? If yes, can someone suggest on it?

Your help n information sharing would be much appreciated

    Thanks

Hi Hyra, and welcome to Breastcancer.org,

We're so sorry to hear you're dealing with these awful side effects of treatment. What has your doctor said about these side effects? Have you asked for additional medication to help alleviate the pain, nausea, blood pressure, and congestion issues? Hopefully your doctor can offer something to help!

We're sure others will be by shortly with some advice and support. Thank you for posting and we look forward to hearing more from you soon. Sending you gentle hugs and hoping for some relief for you soon!

hi, hyra. Welcome on board the ricktey, wobbly chemo wagon. I thought i have had a bumpy ride so far. A few times, i was afraid of being thrown off the wagon due to side effects. But it was nothing compare to what you have experienced. Seems to me you had heart conditions caused by chemo. AC is known bad for heart. I hope your medical team can find a solution for your problems. With your condition, you may face some unique challenges from chemo, which may not be familiar to the marjority of chemo wagon riders. But we are here for you and each other. I know this site has been my life line. You have been through a lot! I would love to hear from you more. Thinking of you.
