HER2 equivocal

My HER2 was apparently really hard to figure out, as it was equivocal it was sent for FISH and came back twice negative and then yesterday positive. Makes me suspicious, did anyone else have the same type of situation?

I had it come back positive, then negative. They ended up treating me as positive.

Why did they do so many FISH tests? My IHC was equivocal but FISH negative. Just windering why they didn't stop at one FISH test

I think they did one from the biopsy (negative) and one from the lumpectomy (negative) but then it turned into positive.

My lump biopsy came up as equivocal but the node biopsy results were strongly HER2

yes, seems to be a difficult one to determine in some cases. I'm glad mine was detected eventhought treatments really scare me

That's interesting, and concerning! I had both tumors test equivocal and then negative by one FISH test (each). Neither was retested after surgery.

My biopsy pathology was HER2 equivocal and I’m still waiting for the FISH results. Is the KI-67 percent related to HER2? That’s a new test since my original dx

My IHC and FISH both came back equivocal. Surgery on Jan 26th for lumpectomy and surgeon will test lump. I am ER+ and PR+ Stage 1 Grade 3. What if lump comes back equivocal again? Do they treat it as positive? I hate not knowing.

Today, my FISH came back equivocal as well. They are going to re-test it. So confusing!
