I am wondering what BEGIGN condition could cause a small pink/purple mark on the breast. There us also darkening under affected breast, looks slightly red, but I was scratching it. Just really nervous. This whole experience has caused my mental health to spiral downwards.

jw89, if you had this little pencil eraser sized bruise that you said looked lighter the next day (per your other thread)on your arm would you be really nervous? Have you made a doctors appointment? All kinds of skin conditions affect your breast just like they do the rest of your body. Under your breast is a common place to get fungal infection (athletes foot).

    Hello there,

No, you are right I would not care at all if it were on my arm for example. And I did not think about a fungal infection, that could make sense actually. I have made a doctor's appointment for tommorow, just having a difficult time dealing with my worries. Thank you for your help.

jw, do try to keep yourself busy and distracted while you wait for your doctor's appointment. We all know how difficult waiting can be, but if you focus on your fear it won't do anything but grow. Good luck for b9 results!

Hello there, thank you for the kind words :) I did see the doctor, and although he did not know what it was, he was 95--98% sure that it was not anything to worry about. I am to watch it for a month and return if it does not completely go away. It seems to be fading. It is still there for sure, but not so purple anymore, and a bit lighter. Hopefully, it goes away very soon. It was reassuring that in his 30+ years of practice, he had not seen anything like that turn into cancer. It does make me nervous to watch and wait though, but it is very likely to be nothing thank goodness.
