Cyst in tumor

Hello,

My mother has stage 3 TNBC IDC. Her tumor has been responding very well to chemo, however this pass week her breast started to swell and cause some pain. She had an appt with her onc who scheduled an ultrasound. And the ultrasound showed that her tumor has developed a cyst. Hence the swelling, but that the tumor has not grown. Has anyone experienced anything similar
