Hello,

I'm 48 years old, and a thyroid cancer survivor of 24 years. I found a breast lump and went for a ultrasound and mammogram. The ultrasound noted the abnormality in the range of 1-1.5 cm. It noted it might be fat necrosis or scarring but malignancy was the primary concern. The mammo showed architectural distortion with suspicion for an underlying mass.

I went for a biopsy today and the ultrasound tech found a thickened lymph under my armpit. They biopsied both the lymph and the breast lump.

Really scared because of the questionable lymph. I just want to deal with whatever it is and come out the other side. Wondering if anyone has any insight.

The only insight I can offer is that you'll have to wait for the biopsy results.  Although it makes no difference to you, since you are a person not a statistic, 80% of biopsies are benign so you still have a greater chance of it being benign than otherwise.  Do let us know what happens.
