Waiting on pathology of breast discharge

I’ve been having breast discharge from both breasts, only upon expression and not spontaneous for many years since I had kids. I had my last baby 17 months ago... the breast surgeon put the discharge on slides and sent off to pathology. I’m waiting for results. Does anyone know what exactly this tests for?? Cancer cells? What type of cancers can be detected this way? Ive had a clear MRI on sept 1st...

lala, do you perhaps have a couple of other threads already? you seem to be getting replies on those, and there is quite a bit of additional information that no one who just reads this one will have. it is helpful to us, so that we can have as much info as possible to be as helpful to you as possible, to stick to one thread. Also, if someone in the future reads a thread that just stops with no final result, it won't be helpful to them (it becomes quite difficult to remember to update all of your threads when you have multiples). I do know that it is difficult to wait, but as your samples have already been sent off, your wait shouldn't be too much longer now.

I'm also pretty sure that DJMammo already partially answered this question in another of your threads.

thank you. I wrote this thread before the last one. My apologies I’ll stick to the previous.
