I have been on tamoxifen since May since then I have had lots of side affects from depression to having dizzy spells is this normal, but the worse I think is this discharge I have and the smell that comes from it I don't go out any more in case people smell it I did go to nurse who did a swab and said I had thrush which as now gone but still have this smell as any one had this sorry for this email

I noticed a different scent too when I was on it. But since you mentioned thrush/yeast infection you need to make sure it's gone first. Don't know which medication they gave you for it but I do know they're not all created equal even if you got the prescription version. I made sure to use a washcloth with Dove soap when cleaning down there twice a day. It didn't completely fix the problem as I'd still notice it when I pulled my pants down to use the bathroom but my husband & Mom both denied noticing any strange scents in the air when I was near them. I hope this helps! And please never apologize for asking an honest question or posting an honest reply. This disease and its accompanying treatments do quite a number on our bodies - some of which even science as we know it can't explain yet.

I've been on Tam for 2 years. Only SE was hot flashes, which are much better now.

Thank you for the reply yes the thrush as gone but still have the yellow smelly discharge I shall have to go back to nurse or doctors but we have to wait nearly three weeks to get a appointment it's so embarrassing. The discharge started soon after I I started the tamoxifen I have only been on it since April but I might asked to come of it
