LCIS and Thyroidectomy?

Hi All,

I had a Total Thyroidectomy in 2011. The pathology was mixed. A few centres found it to be malignant and others said it was benign. If we believe the malignant diagnoses then it was Follicular Variant Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma. However I'm in the UK and one of the centres that gave a benign opinion on the tissue was the Mayo in Minnesota. So I'm running with their view which was multi nodular goitre. I am however followed up by a cancer hospital in the UK as a precaution.

I also have LCIS , diagnosed this year.

As far as I know there isn't a known link between LCIS and thyroid conditions. Unless of course anyone knows better? Keen to know if there is a link!
