Unilateral Recon...one side???

I had unilateral mastectomy and was planning on a 2nd mastectomy followed by delayed recon on both sides later. I am starting to wonder about just doing an expander on one side and augmentation on the other side. I'm pretty large...DD. I met with a PS but this wasn't offered or discussed as I was pretty set on a 2nd mastectomy.

Has anyone done this? Would you mind sharing your experience?

    I am a UMX, left side. I have an Inspria 800 in my left and at this point have not had any surgery on my right. The 800 is a DD/DDD on me, I am 5'8" and 200lbs with ribcage of 38. I am now actually larger on L than native R....so for me before I start doing surgery on my native breast, I am thinking of downsizing to a 700??? I will never look the same naked, so just trying to look normal in a bra and currently the implant is too big....but otherwise happy with the less is more approach to surgery.
