In my search for alternative therapies, I came across the teachings of German medical doctor, Dr. Matthias Rath M.D. Has anyone tried his product: Dr. Rath Healthy Cell Growth Synergy Formula? Here is an excerpt from one of his presentations entitled Cancer Can Be Beaten. Half way through the presentation, he discusses the importance of the nutrient synergy of the amino acid lysine, vitamin C, proline and EGCG in the treatment of cancer.

I don't know anything about him.

Dr. Rath is a cardiologist and has published numerous peer reviewed studies on Pubmed.

I didn't know anything about this guy, but just read his Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthias_Rath

Can't say that I would put too much faith in his claims. He sounds partly unhinged and partly dangerous (treating HIV/AIDS patients with vitamins).

In addition to conventional therapies, I have been looking for vitamin supplements that can help with my recent cancer diagnosis. Sure, his claims are bit far fetched but given that a lot of research has gone into his formulations, I wonder if it can help. Treating cancer at the cellular level makes sense to me. It's either that, or taking a shot in the dark with other supplements out there. For example, I've read a lot of people touting the benefits of green tea extract, but it can be highly toxic on the liver.

I understand wanting to find some support treatment in the form of supplements. I think many of us, if not most, have done the same. I would just be really dubious about this particular guy, including his products.
