A little back story, 16 years ago I was diagnosed with Hodgkin disease and went through 6 months of chemo and also radiation to my chest and neck area. Breast cancer is a secondary cancer that can form due to my treatment.

About a year ago I started noticing both of my breasts were tender and hurt. After a few months of this I decided to make an appt to get checked, along with I was spotting for about 2 weeks after my period. I really just assumed my doctor would tell me I was starting to go through the change and didn't think too much of it.

He ordered an ultrasound of pelvis and also a mammogram. Had ultrasound of pelvis and I have cysts on my ovary.

I just looked at the mammogram as just routine because everything I have read, and my doctor also pointed out, that breast cancer usually doesn't hurt.

After I had my mammogram done I got a call back because apparently it was suppose to be diagnostic. Which through my for a loop because I again hadn't thought too much of it.

I got the results back and they found a lymph node and want to see me back in six months (which is a little over a month from now). I had panicked for a little while but told myself even though it was a lymph node it was nothing to worry aboutright now).

Ok fast forward. A month ago I found a little lump under my left breast (the one where lymph node was found). I panicked but told myself I have a mammogram schedule already don't worry about it.

I was doing my monthly breast check and now I feel a string of tiny lumps along the under side of my left breast. I do not feel it on my right.

In reading things on this page it says that it can feel like pebbles around the outside of your breast.

My question is, is the pebbles something that is always there and would it feel that way on both breasts?

Also even though I have a mammogram scheduled do you think this warrants a call to my doctor.

And if anyone could give me insight on if they have experienced anything similar.

I think you should just keep your mammogram appointment, but do mention what you've noticed when you go.  There really isn't anything more that your doctor could do for you without the imaging.
