Calcifications found after lumpectomy/radiation

Not sure if this the correct place to post but thought I'd give it a try...

So I just returned from my yearly mammogram and they were concerned with some calcifications they found. A little background about me I am 36, 2 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 1a, only 1.2mm of idc found, lumpectomy and radiation completed. So back to today they found a few in the actual lumpectomy site and then what looked to me to be a line of them right behind the site. I am scheduled for biopsys of both places next Tuesday's but am just stressing out about this whole deal. Was wondering if anyone had any past experiences they could share or information since I can't seem to find much on the internet about this. Thank you in advance.

It must be very difficult for you since you are very young and have already gone through this before.  Unfortunately you will have to go through another biopsy and waiting, what a bummer.  Perhaps they will find out it is nothing and you'll do your happy dance.  Here's hoping for that happy dance.

Thank you very much for your kind words and I've got everything crossed that it is just a false alarm!! I guess another round of the wait and see game has begun.

No I am not taking them, kinda really kicking myself for that decision right about now.

hello jenny, how did it went? I hope you are fine and that everything went trough just fine.

I had a lumpectomy 6 weeks ago and now they just found microcalcifications in the mamogram.

Scheduled for biopsy On the 21st.

The previous dcis was insitu, now my concer is that it was invasive..

Im 33 and very scared

I hope you biopsy was all cleared
