Hi. I have what feels like nerve damage in my elbow but shoulder aches also and my hand get tingly and/or numb at times. Just in my right arm, cancer side. Anyone have full arm neuropathy from taxol? Or anyone have lymphedema painbefore surgery from cancer damaged lymph nodes?

My arm has had this issue on and off for a few years. My bone scan was clean. MO doesn't think it's anything to do with cancer. It got worse and more persistent half way through taxol which is why I'm asking.

I had no issues akin to lymphedema prior to UMX. I do not have any pain related to my LE. I did 12 weekly Taxol adjuvant (4 DD A/C neoadjuvant). My LE started 9 weeks post UMX (6 weeks into Taxol).

I do now have pain in my LE side shoulder thanks to a small rotator cuff tear (weird injury) almost 2 yrs ago. It is kept under control by a cortisone injection every 6 months though. It's been decided that as long as it (pain) is taken care of by the every 6 month injection, it's better to let it be than to do surgery - so I get the injection and don't worry about it.

I do believe that my LE issues are probably related to something that happened after my 2nd Son was born (1978). My LE issues are primarily in elbow area (and above and below). When Son was born (C-section), they pulled my IV out too early and a new one had to be started. The new IV was not 'good' and I developed phlebitis from it. I had to spend another 4 days in hospital to get it resolved.

I did have 19 nodes removed (all positive) removed and do have some nerve damage under arm crom the surgery. Just lack of feeling which was actually a 'good thing' after rads as the deepest part of my large burn was in that area so I didn't feel the worst of the burn - Thankfully!

As you say you've had issues with your arm 'off and on for a few years' you might want to revisit your current issues with your Dr(s) from then. Just a thought.
