For those who had neoadjuvant chemo then surgery, what was the time frame to radiation? My RO said 12 weeks from chemo (with surgery during that time) at the most.

I didn't have neoadjuvant chemo but I had implant exchange surgery after the end of chemo and before rads started. I was told that they prefer radiation start as soon after chemo as possible because the efficiency will gradually go down if more than nine weeks have passed since chemo. They consider up to 12 weeks to be acceptable - like your RO said - with efficiency starting to decline from week 9.

My radiation started 10 weeks after neoadjuvent chemo. Chemo ended June 8, BMX June 22, Radiation started Aug 17. Appts and radiation mapping were done the weeks in between. What a fun summer that was . Radiation ends next week

We are each so different (as are our Drs and our TX plan).

My time line was: 4 DD A/C neoadjuvant. 2 weeks after last A/C had UMX, 3 weeks post UMX started 12 weekly Taxol adjuvant, 1 week after last Taxol started 25 Rads, a week after starting Rads (2 weeks after last Taxol) started Femara (it was not available then in generic form - letrozole then).
