Heart risks with Zometa?

Zometa might increase risk of a-fib & heart failure

This was in Cardiology Today. The caveats are that this was retrospective & not double-blind; Zometa/Reclast was studied vs. only oral bisphosphonates like Fosamax or Boniva; nobody studied got a biologic like Prolia; and that the population studied was largely elderly, with a higher incidence of osteoporosis (as opposed to osteopenia or normal density) before treatment began. Also, the patients received the drugs only for bone health, not mets prevention or reduction.
