Checking reviews for doctor/hospital

How do I make sure I'm seeing the BEST doctor, at the BEST hospital.i.e., where do you go to check reviews?

I'm in Philadelphia and my surgeon is at Chestnut Hill Hospital. I know U Penn and Fox Chase and some other places are probably more highly ranked, but I'm not sure how to switch hospitals at this point. I have to contact my insurance and find out.

    Fox Chase are and UPENN are definitely good choices ... there is also Jefferson. I chose Fox Chase and I am very pleased. As long as you are some place where you feel at ease and comfortable, and where you have the utmost confidence in your team, you will feel good with your choice. This is a tough journey so you're comfort and peace of mind are very important factors to consider asyou choose.

    Thanks for the feedback! I tried calling some drs offices at Penn this afternoon and nobody could see me before Oct 6 :( I feel that's too late to wait, esp when my current surgeon at Chestnut Hill wants me to get surgery a month from now..

    I agree. Go to Penn! You are so fortunate to be close to such a great facility. Good luck and keep us posted.
