    I would like to find it out if others have been contacted by Avalon Medical after receiving their Lymphapress device.

    Quick story, 2+ years ago I ordered and received a Lymphapress device after being told by the Avalon representative that my insurance would pay $5,000 and that they (Avalon) would waive the balance which is $2,000.

    In July this year I received a form letter saying I owed the $2,000 balance because their representative did not have the authority to waive the balance. I have refused to pay but offered to send back my device which they refused.

    In the meantime I contacted my attorney who said what they are doing is wrong and in violation of numerous consumer protection laws which crosses state lines. I have been back in forth with their newest representative who was authorized to accept $500 and they would waive the balance of $1500.

    I refused and will be notifying the attorney general in my state if they pursue this.

    My question here is anyone else being told the same thing? I believe Avalon is in the wrong here. I can think of a number of reasons why they would do this but that doesn't matter.
