Herceptin and Echo

Hi, I should have looked to see if there are any other postings on this before I post this.  Anyways, here it goes.  I was worried about my Echo, which I did post on here a while back.  I was told it went from 65 to 55.  But I went and saw the Oncologist last week and he said it actually was 58.  I have another echo at the end of this month.  He said he would personally call me on the results of that.

I have another concern, and I am going to call the Triage at the Cancer Center on Monday.  I found out my kidney blood work.. I think it's the GFS or something like that... don't quote me... is 59.  60 and above is normal functioning kidneys.  I've had bladder and kidney infections my whole life.  But my function was always in the normal range.  My new GP, I am switching, said not to be concerned, I am probably dehydrated from the chemo and to drink about 3 litres of water daily.  Half my body weight.  I drank a lot of water during Taxol, as well.

Because my echo was lower than usual, I am wondering if it is affecting my kidney function?  Also, can this Herceptin be causing this.  I am concerned.  I don't want to have kidney damage.

Any thoughts on this.  I have 5 more Herceptins to do.  I am wondering also, I've heard women on here say, they didn't do the full 17 Herceptins and years later still doing great?  I would like to not do the rest of the Herceptins.... I don't think it's easy on the body.. not as bad as the Taxol but still, not good.
