Hello, I just wanted to share this information on "Enhanced Ethanol Ablation" from the journal Nature. It appears that researchers are finding that injections of ethanol, combined with ethyl cellulose, are having a positive effect on cancer tumor eradication.

This link describes the research in the publication New Atlas:

Here is a link to the study results in the journal Nature under Scientific Reports:

While the primary research is focused on other cancers, breast cancer is one of the cancers for which researchers hope to use this treatment.

This sounds really great because of the minimized intervention... however, is this method as effective as radical surgery?

Could be a great alternative for lower grade cancers...

while I find this study quite interesting, please do make note that 1) this was done on hamsters, not people 2) this was done explicitly to look for a way to provide an alternative treatment to people in developing countries where there may not be electricity or other requisite tools for surgery. This was not intended to replace surgery in countries where surgery is available; therefore it will most likely not be available in many places in the US even were it to be found efficacious in human testing and be tested in breast cancer.
