Hi!

I'm feeling really depressed lately. I've an issue with depression for years, but lately I've been feeling more depressed and without any wish and energy to do anything...

In 2011 I've had my first diagnosis of breast cancer and had my left breast removed. I received hormanal therapy with tamoxiphen. But on March, this year, I had my second diagnosis of a tumor near the axila (left). It was quite unexpected. After the surgery the doctor said it was a axilar breast cancer, which is a very rare case. Then I had 25 sessions of radiotherapy.

After radiotherapy my doctor said I had to visit the oncologist to see what treatment I should receive. The oncologist said there is no need of hormonal treatment, because this cancer was in situ. So after leaving tamoxiphen, I had no need to go back to that drug.

However, until now I feel the side effects of leaving tamoxiphen. The first weeks I had about four hot flashes during sleep. I also had hemorrhage, but just once. Then every side effect stopped for like a month. But I started to have hot flashes again during sleep, not so many, but every night. And now that I feel depressed, I think that maybe I will have premature menopause...??

Anyone else had these side effect after leaving tamoxiphen? Any insight?

Thanks,

Dani
