Clear PET but spots on liver still there on CT?

So I got amazing news this week that my PET scan was completely clear! Breast and liver no longer light up! However, a CT only 11 days earlier still showed 2 spots on the liver. My onc said they could be dead spots and we dropped the Docetaxol, keeping Herceptin and Perjeta. I'm feeling uneasy about just hoping the liver spots on the CT are dead spots. Could they be spots that are not growing and therefore don't light up on the PET, however they are still cancerous spots just waiting to grow larger once we stop the Docetaxol? Thoughts??

I'M not a doctor, but from what I think I know, the PET shows activity. The CT can show dead spots, which are like scars. If the PET doesn't light up, then there is no metabolicactivity there and likely thenspota are "dead" spots.

I echo Stef's comments. Def good news worth dancing for. I'll do a small happy dance now to get you started. 😁

Dead or at least dormant, and may they stay that way forever. I would think your onc will re-scan in around three months, and follow tumor markers if they are accurate for you. If any activity starts up, you can add the docetaxel or another chemo back. Ask your onc if that is the plan.
