Hugs, Lita.

Lita, sorry to hear your symptoms are returning/worsening. Just a suggestion, if you have an Apple Ipod, you can listen to books on it. I enjoy that for long car trips.
-
Lita - thinking of you. So glad that your MO is moving up the MRI. Hope they can get you in before Thanksgiving. Stay strong but be kind to yourself too.
-
Lita,
If it helps at all, when I was gossiping to my RO about brain mets, he said that he would feel confident about doing up to 40 brain mets with the Cyber Knife, if the patient wasn't keen on WBR.
So, if your RO has a lower limit, tell him the folk at Roswell Park have a different opinion.
That patch idea sounds good. Reducing the input to mono instead of stereo might cut you some slack.
-
Hugs to you Lita. I'm sorry about the blind spot and dizziness.
-
Cant do the eye patch thing cuz the other eye has really blurred vision.
Cant win

Lita - Praying for endless stores of peace and strength to get through this.

The big accomplishment today, folding a load of towels....and that's after dh gathered them all up, put them into washer and then loaded them into dryer and brought them back into the house.
I SAT on my bed to fold everything, and I had to keep taking breaks because i was so short of breath just from folding hand towels, wash cloths and bath towels.
Not good, not good at all.

I hope they approve the cyber knife Lita and get you some kind of relief. It is so difficult to lose a function we are so used to but eyesight has got to be the worst. I'm praying for you Lita and hope they get this figured out soon.
-
Lita, still thinking and praying for you.
-
Lita you do what you can babe, can you watch the reruns you like? listening is not the same as watching but at least you could catch up on the saga. Hoping for some relief for you soon.
-
Thinking of you, Lita - sorry you are going through tough times right now. Praying for imminent relief for you.
-
Thinking of you everyday, Lita. Praying for supernatural peace and comfort.
-
Can you get someone to give you a massage or manicure while you are at home? Isn't it crazy that no matter how sick you are..there is always laundry.
-
Thinking and praying for you Lita. You always make me laugh!
-
Lita, still praying! Hoping you get some news to help out your situation! It’s hard for me to know exactly what to say, and I usually end up sticking my foot in my mouth. But I do think of you often and include you in my prayers. Am still praying for a turn around for you!
-
Hi Lita...popping in to say I'm thinking of you & so hope your upcoming MRI shows you're a candidate for cyber-knife...since other sisters have had success with it. I'm praying for healing & feeling better. Hoping for a Thanksgiving day with people & moments that make you happy. We'll be going to a nephew's home so that will make me happy! XOX

Praying for a peaceful holiday surrounded by family and loving furry creatures.

Soonest they can see me for brain MRI is Dec 7. Better than nothing.
New development: In the 19 mos since I've been fighting this beast, I have NEVER taken to my bed in the middle of the day, but today I did, sadly. Poopy thing is that I couldn't even sleep...only able to rest. Sometimes cancer just keeps you awake
I am so weak these days. Back hurts, but manageable. What concerns me is it feels like it just won't support me anymore. Was told there was major spinal progression with last scan, so not surprising. I'm having nerve impingement pain in my legs...not liking that because it affects my sleep.
DH and DD are going to have to make T'day dinner this year. I will supervise. There is NO WAY I can stand up for more than a couple of minutes at a time. I can sit at the kitchen table and chop vegetables, but that's about it.
Hoping SOME of the brain mets have shrunk, but I don't know. ALL of my horrible original symptoms are back, and my strength/stamina are affected now. I can really feel the difference between who I was a month ago and now. This is NOT my body!!! I have this weird feeling of disassociation.
Sigh....trying to hold it together and not get too weirded out. Having to use my rolling walker more and more these days too because I've almost passed out several times because of brain mets light-headedness.

Lita, I will be including you in a special prayer this Thanksgiving......
-
Lita, I don’t understand why it is taking them so long to get you in! Can your MO intercede for an earlier date? I would be screaming at somebody. Prayers that somehow they get you in sooner. And I hope you are able to relax with your family a little tomorrow. Sending gentle cyber hugs your way
-
Lita. Hoping you get to enjoy your time with your dh and dd tomorrow. Make great memories always! Thinking of you and praying for you!
