Just diagnosed ilc

so I'm away on vacation and my drs office just called me with resultsbof my biopsy.they said it was ilc.

This is all the info I was given today. So I feel like I know nothing. I see the surgeon again on the 5th and is having a bc navigator nurse call me.

Hi Mojojennijo,

Sorry you are here, but welcome. Got the same dx in July. I researched but not all that much out there since ILC makes up only 15 or 20% of BC. This board has been a great resource. Once you get more info on what your prognostic factors are etc., you'll feel a bit more in control.

you are correct in there not being too much to google! Def knowing more atbmy appointment will help.

ILC Veteran here. Some things you will learn:

• ILC does not necessarily present as,a lump, more like a thickness.
• ILC is typically slow to grow
• Dont be surprised if you end up having multiple tumors
• ILC is a sneaky sucker and is not easily found on imaging

Some docs lump ILC with IDC. Find one that knows the difference.
