Hello,I am a new member to this forum.I completed neoadjuvant chemo and then was ordered a breast mri, which revealed residual cancer and other concerning nonmass enhancement.I had a recent partial mascectomey and path results showed no invasive cancer.no tumor bed,no dead cells nothing!! i had a pretty big tumor. The only thing it did show was dystrophic calcifications and a 5+cm of a scar which they confirmed was from my previous biopsy not cancer related or chemo related. My question is has anyone had a scare from residual cancer on a scan but turned out to be entirely benign?and is there always a tumor bed left after chemo?

My post chemo MRI showed no cancer. The radiologist actually asked why I was having surgery if there was no cancer! And the pathology after BMX also showed no cancer - NOTHING! So no - I don't think there is a "tumor bed" or anything after complete response.
