Found a lump in Jan 2017. Ultrasound says it's a sebaceous cyst because of the appearance and there's a noticeable "track" on the U/S. Totally benign, can't turn malignant so breast surgeon won't remove it.

However, I see the opposite online.

Example: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC25275...

Where would I go to have this done if the surgeon I went to won't touch it? I am confused.

I think what you are reading about is a very rare tumor, most of which are seen in the periocular area, while plain old sebaceous cysts are very common.

The thing is, it's still an occurence that can happen in the breast so wouldn't a biopsy make sense?

alonenscared, a cyst and tumor are 2 completely different things and would look completely different on ultra sound. When there is an identifiable finding that has less than a 2% chance of being cancer it isn't biopsied. There are standards of care that medical professionals follow. They don't like to perform a procedure that represents more risk than the finding itself.

I have had sebaceous cyst removed surgically three times in eleven years all on my left breast ...spreading out to occur every five years!

My last surgery on 9/6/17 left me with an open wound three inches deep two inches wide...VERY PAINFUL. I healed fast with a wound vac but the pain was a nightmare and has left me traumatized! I am scheduled to see a specialist next month to have ultrasound done and more than likely another surgery to remove breast tissue that has sebaceous cyst fragments due to one of the two cysts rupturing every time. This healing from inside to out with dry packing (dressing) is my enemy.....and the wound vac dressing changes have left me in shock.... I CAN DEFINE PAIN
