I'm sure it has been mentioned here before, but I just got back from a whitewater kayaking trip with First Descents and it was truly life changing. I highly recommend! If anyone has questions about the experience I am happy to answer them. For those who aren't familiar, First Descents provides adventure trips free of charge to cancer patients/survivors between the ages of 18 and 39 (they also have a different program for those in their 40s):
